Getting Started - Fall Creek Remembers

This is going to be my first blog entry. Probably going to be a number of stream of consciousness research posts. I've started the research for an eventual historical narrative book on the History of Fall Creek Valley (will have a much better title) that centers a lot on the Geist (my home) - Lawrence Township in Marion County and Fall Creek Valley in Hamilton County. It all stems from my fascination with the little pioneer town of Germantown which gave its last breath when it was covered under the waters of Geist Reservoir. Germantown will celebrate its bi-centennial in 2034 and I hope to have my book published by then. This is where I will test out and publish snippets of the book to see how they looks in prose and print. I'm sure it will look like a bit of a patchwork quilt.

Still working on names for this book that are not really boring like The History of Fall Creek Valley as this is more about real people and real events and real life in history. For now it is Fall Creek Remembers as a placeholder.
